  2. Transport and communication today.
Today we have many forms of communication. The most common is a car. Many people also use trains, tubes or trams. If someone wants to travel a long way, like for example to another country, can use airplane, ship, yacht or boat.
Nowadays some people can even travel to the space using the rockets! That is really amazing.
We can also use bikes, motorbikes, scooters.
We still can simply walk or sometimes use horses like people in Ancient Egypt, because they didn't invent engines yet.

  3. Nowadays it's very easy to communicate with our friends who can live even on the other side of the world.
We can use a telephone, cellphone, we are able to text each other just in a second. People can use online comunicators like Skype where they can even see each other.
But we still can write the letters and post them in a traditional way, but then we will have to wait a little bit longer for the reply.
My favorite way of communication is Skype, I can talk to and see my grandma who lives 1400 km away.

    21st century communication:

Communication today its very diferent and quite impressive from the Ancient times, if we want to talk to someone 100 miles away we take our mobile phone digit a number and talk to the person.
In the BC time in Egypt if we wanted to deliver a message we would have to sail through the river Nile and deliver it in person.

To transport we use train, aeroplane, car, ship and bus.The train runs on a railway track and can go faster than normal cars.It only stops at a station.

An aeroplane can go high in the air and has services where you can have food.

A car drives on road. There are super cars which are the fastest cars in the world, normal cars have a normal speed and slow cars are very slow.

Ships go in water and have propellers. Some small ships called boats are supposed to
    be rowed.

A bus is bigger than a car and carries lots of passengers but only stops at a bus stop.

For communication we use telephone, messaging, whatsapp, face to face talk, email and writing letters.

  7. Transport & communication

There are a range of different types of transport available.
A very common one is the car! A car is the most popular thing you would use to go places like Birmingham, Slough and all the places near you that were too far to walk to.
Some people use bicycles to get to places like work or school. This form is cheaper and good for the environment.
Trains are used for places which are further away. Aeroplanes are used to travel around the world.
Ships and boats are transport on water. Travelling by seas is normally done by a cruise ship. Ferries are normally used for short seas across the continent.
Rockets are transport to space. This is the most technological form of transport.
Forms of communication that we use include television, email, text, phone, newspaper and the more traditional ones which are written like letters and post cards. If you were watching TV and you needed to a new bike, there might be an advert for where you can get it. Nowadays some people use Facetime. This is where you can see the person you are talking to on your phone, iPad or computer. A common form of communication today is email, so many people in the world use email to send messages to each other.
Transport and Communication was very different in Ancient Egypt. The main forms of transport were by foot, boat or litter or chariot for the rich. People communicated mainly by writing, they used the language of hieroglyphics. They also communicated through the theatre and by pictures.

  9. Transport and communication

Transport is all the ways of travelling from one place to another. Everywhere around the world people use different forms of transport to travel and carry their things from place to place. For short distances like getting to school we travel by foot or by bike which is excellent exercise. For further distances like going shopping or to the cinema we can catch a bus or go by car which is much faster than walking. Trains are faster than cars and buses and we can take these for travelling around the country and even to other parts of Europe. For example to get to France we can go by the Eurostar which is a superfast and safe. To travel across the sea to other countries we travel by huge airplanes which may take long hours. Some people prefer to travel across the sea by ferry or cruise ship. The cruise ship may take several days or weeks to get to its destination.

Communication is the way in which people keep in touch with each other. The most common form of communication is face to face where you can see the person who you are talking to. Lots of people like to keep in touch by telephone where you can hear each other’s voices. Texting is another way of using mobile phones. One form of communication in which you can see and hear each other is Skype. Letters can be sent by post overseas but these take time to get there. Emails are faster and are sent over the internet and get there straight away.

In Ancient Egypt transport and communication were simple as they did not have technology such as telephones or airplanes. Communication was mostly face to face and transport was mainly by walking or by horseback or boat along the river Nile.

  11. Transport and communication today
    Transport
We have many different transport types that help us get around. From rowing boats, to fast cars to aeroplanes. Some of the transport types have different speeds and mechanisms to power the engines, and this determines how long it would take to get to the destination.
It could take 24 hours to fly to New Zealand, but if you went on a boat it could take approximately 6 weeks.
In some countries they rely on horses and other animals as transportation as they do not have many mechanical vehicles, or they are too expensive to run, but they still get to where they need to go.

    Communication
Most people use some sort of communication daily, it could be talking to each other , using a phone, emailing or using the various types of social media. I still send postcards and letters to my Nan and Gramps who live in New Zealand which is also a way of communicating.

  13. Transport and Communication today

Ancient Egyptians communicated using hieroglyphics and heratic. Extraordinarily they had to learn 700 letters. We only have to learn 26 letters in the English language. Brilliantly they communicated through art by doing drawings and pictures. We also communicate through pictures and paintings. Amazingly they communicated by wearing lots of rich jewellery and had big houses. Today we communicate using telephones by talking, sending emails, using face time, texting and writing letters, newspapers, magazines and by watching TV.

Today we travel by aeroplane and ships to go to different countries. We also use trains and cars to go to places far away but not too far. Fantastically we can use a bus if you dont have a car or a bicycle. The Egyptians didn't build roads to travel around their empire. They didn't need to. Nature had built them a amazing super highway right through the middle of Egyypt called the river Nile. Egyptians used the Nile for transportation and shipping. People also rode on camels and horseback.
Today communication and transport has improved due to technology.
