Abstract by Kandinsky
ReplyDeleteI can see that on the painting he used for his background he made a wash mixed with dark blue, then he blends in the light blue and a bit of light green. The main painting in the middle looks like a troll charging with a lance. On this painting there are loads of semi-circles, triangles, circles, one scalene triangle, a square, a little isosceles triangle. It makes me feel like a troll make of shapes is stuck in the centre of spce and its shapes are floating in space.
I'd like to describe the first painting on the top right.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is painted with watercolour paint.
I can see many shapes, triangles, circles, semicircles, lines. I can see some objects as well. One of them look like a clown's head, others like a Spider-Man, birds, tree, dinosaur.
Kandinsky used many colours and his painting make me feel like I'm in the middle of the cartoon.
I would like to write about the Farbstudie Quadrate by Wassily Kandinsky.
ReplyDeleteIn the painting you can see squares and circles of every colour, it looks like tiny tunnels with colourful lights.
I think that he drew first the squares then the circles on them of different colours.
I like it because it reminds me of spiral staircases, I love the bright colours and it makes me feel happy when I look at it.
Kandinsky is a very famous artist because he did many amazing abstract paintings! He also was a Russian teacher.Kandinsky used to do normal paintings but then changed to doing abstract art.
ReplyDeleteSoft Hard, 1927
ReplyDeleteKandinsky wanted to contrast softness and hardness using straight and curved rulers and sky blue background. There was a circle and in the inside it looked as if supernova has happened. There were lots of tiny circles inside it and in the middle there was a black circle. In the bottom right corner, there was a triangle and a crescent so it looked like a man with a long moustache. There was also a triangle with teeth at the bottom and two large crescents piercing it at the top. The blue background told me it was soft.
The painting I have chosen is red blue yellow.
ReplyDeleteI picked this piece because it is wild , amazing and very very artistic. I can see a
cat , a dog and a head of a bird. In the backround I can see lots of cool effects like rainbow , zigzags and even a sine in piano. I think that Kandinsky painted it because he wanted people in the future to think that painting animals can be fun. This reminds me of nature. This picture was painted in 1925 by Kandinsky wassily. Kandinsky used primary colours for the triangles. , circles and square.
When I feel happy and any other feeling I like to art I express myself in the drawing I use lots of bright colour, some time I choose very tinted colour drawing different types of shapes and models.I feel creativeness.
ReplyDeletewhen I do art I feel existed and creative I am using bright and some time tinted colour to create and paint different shapes and models to express my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI choose the last picture this is a nice picture with many shapes and objects. One of them looks to me like a small house with red roof and windows and a door.I can also see a big arrow across the picture.Spotted little moon is well and a green sun.Sometimes i think i can see a dinosaur with one eye.
ReplyDeleteThe whole picture it looks like your in space because it has dark and blue and lights comes from stars the shapes are circles squares and triangles .The picture makes me feel calm and happy.
I'm going to choose the top left picture because it reminds me of cinnamon swirls (my favourite)! They are as bright as an exotic parrot. The flamboyant colours, which I like, suggest this is an abstract painting. I think the painter used a thick brush and used light strokes. This makes me feel joyful.

ReplyDeleteShape art
I like kandinsky’s pieces of art because it makes you feel sometimes happy and sometimes angry. The most important part of his work is that he uses bright colors and different shapes like lines, triangles, squares, diamonds and others in the same picture.
Kandinsky always paints his pictures with a lot of care and his pieces of art reminds you to live every single moment in your life.

ReplyDeleteWassily Kandinsky - "Several Circles", 1926
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a solar eclipse because of how the ring silhouettes around the moon. The picture makes me feel calm and relaxed because the warm colours make it come to life.
The circles remind me of the night sky being lit up by shimmering stars.
This has been painted using complimentary and harmonious colours, in my opinion it looks like he has used a water effect on the background.
I am so impressed with all of your wonderful descriptions about what you like about Kandinsky's work. He is one of my favourite artists because of his use of colour. I hope you all enjoyed Art Week as much as I did and feel inspired to do some more painting.
ReplyDeleteI like Kandinsky's work. on the work sheet about Kandinsky's painting. Its on the bottom right.I like it because he did not leave any white gaps...well some. But he has really looked into it and it just looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI selected last second painting because it looks like witch flying in over the moon. I can see many shapes like square, triangle, circle, semi-circle, rectangle, lines. In his art work there are no gaps every space is completely used. Mostly he has used primary colours.it is oil painting. I feel it is wonderful artwork.
