Flotsam
For our
book week topic we have been looking at the book ‘Flotsam’. In the story some
mysterious photographs are found by a boy on the beach. There are lots of
unusual pictures of creatures underwater such as mechanical fish, octopuses
sitting on sofas and a turtle with a whole city on its back.
For your homework, imagine or
draw your own underwater scene and then write a paragraph describing what’s in
the photograph you have created. Try to use similes and metaphors in your
description.

I can imagine that there is a squid as a big skyscraper as big as the Shard, and a big hole in the bottom of the sea and a seahorse teaching a baby dolphin how to dive like a dolphin. Three Turtles playing piggy in the middle using a jellyfish for the ball. A big shark as a slide in the park and little fish sliding down the shark. Five Clams sitting on the benches talking bla bla bla, but very slowly.
ReplyDeletesecret cave- it is all about a secret cave with gold in it. I got it from a very old book I once read. I wanted people to be amazed when they saw it.
ReplyDeleteA mysterious land under the sea filled with amazing sea creatures and treasures.The sun shined as bright as fire.More than 10000 jellyfish swimming across the sea.-Fish playing in the sand making sand castels also playing (x)-(o). As sea shells filled with pearls layed around . Treasures filled with money.

ReplyDeleteI got inspired by a book called flotsam. I wanted people to be inspired and amazed. I worked very hard on this.
I imagined mermaids with turtle servants brushin their hair and feeding them shrimps.
